CARTOONS I remember the way they broadcast cartoons on TV. If I was playing outside, my mother would call me, but they were over before I arrived home. They were really unattractive?Mianuel and Balanel or Mihaela. There was one thing that puzzled me about TV. I didn?t know what ?partially colour? meant because I had a black and white TV set. (70) One could see cartoons on video, those who had one, and also at Doina cinema, where they would show the famous Disney movies ? ?101 Dalmatians?, ?Bambi?, ?The Aristocrat Cats?. Near the cinema, there was a store called ?Three little bears?, selling goods for kids. (160) CEAUSESCU Ceausescu visited an African country and came back with a monkey, and when he got off the airplane, some asked him if the monkey was Leana with a beautiful tan. Ceausescu went to visit China, he got off the plane, Leana stumbled and he told her: ?stewpeed!? Everybody clapped their hands: ?Hurray, our comrade leader has just learned his first Chinese word. (114) In the 80?s, Ceausescu promised to help with money and food the population of?Federal Republic of Germany. It was awesome. (C. V.,7) There was a film broadcast on 7ABC. It was mainly about Ceausescu?s diplomas and about his exam at the end of his high school (baccalaureate) which was granted by high school, no. 10: Kosmodemianskaia, (its former name was the Central School). Other important political personalities (like Verde) were also granted diplomas by that institution. The funny part is that the film, (I do not know who made it), stated clearly that he got his diploma a short time before his college diploma. He risked becoming a college graduate before he graduated the high school. This is because all things were top secret, and only when they were allowed to look into the matter did they discover the discrepancy. (111) |
